| - I have no idea why this location has gotten such lousy reviews. After getting burned out on Wal-Mart (shocker there, right?), my wife and I started coming to Target almost exclusively. The prices are comparable for most items and the selection is rather large. There is everything from toys to clothing to shoes to electronics.
Having the Target RedCard is really what makes this worthwhile. We originally signed up to make a big purchase, because it's an additional 5% off, but even using it for all our small purchases, it really adds up.
The Target app, is awesome. You are able to look up things as you go shopping (using Target's free WiFi!) and it will tell you exactly which aisle to go to. Which is great if you generally don't like talking to people when you go out. Because sometimes you just don't feel like being a social butterfly.
I haven't yet figured out the Cartwheel thing, so I'm probably not saving as much as I could possibly be.
The pharmacy is also top notch here. I just transferred all of my prescriptions here from CVS and the co-pays are ridiculously cheaper. I went from paying $15 for a generic at CVS to a whopping $2 at Target. The pharmacy staff members are always helpful and nice.
My only real complaint is that the clearances are not very good most of the time. You would expect things to be dirt cheap and sometimes they are still way too expensive, even on clearance.
I haven't much noticed the store being run down, as several other reviews have pointed out. The place does smell like popcorn, which is a good thing to me. The decor doesn't feel anywhere near as gritty to me as many other similar stores. And I've always had good experiences with the employees, whether I encounter them in the aisles, or chatting with them at the check-out.
EDIT: I had to knock a star off of my review for two reasons. 1) The carts here are horrible. Every time we go, we can not find a single cart that doesn't feel like it starred in an episode of Jackass. 2) We have twice found expired food on the shelves. They had a whole end cap of yogurt that had been expired by a week.
