| - Take your money and join another gym. You're welcome.
I'm so disappointed in their customer service. Very APATHETIC and ROBOTIC - everything sounds scripted. Additionally, I kept getting transferred or put on hold. I've heard that it's a big hassle to try to end your contract prematurely (which is understandable), but my contract already officially ended in February so consequently my automatic payments stopped...until I saw they charged me for June.
Apparently, they give you three months free at the end, but it's all a marketing ploy, because you *think* your contract ended in those months, but actually you have to call to confirm it. And they won't refund you once your payments kick in again. I told them I don't even use their gym anymore, but the customer service rep just lackadaisically brought up the terms I initialed and refused to refund my June payment. There's a lot of small conditions you sign with your membership contract, so BE AWARE and remember all of them, two years later. Eye roll.
"Ladies join free" sounds appealing and $22/month for 2 years doesn't look bad, but that's $528 you're spending. You can get the same exact membership (and more!) at 24 HOUR FITNESS at Costco for about $370. I have friends that go to that gym, and they continually renew. Plus 24 Hr Fitness covers more range across the country.
As a grad student, I have access to the REC center at UNLV. Its equipment is way more up-to-date, cleaner, the parking lot doesn't get too packed, also offers fitness classes, and is a WAY MORE pleasant experience.
Invest your money wisely. Don't waste your time with this gym.
