  • Always on the look-out for small cafes nucked into a neighborhood and serving great food and ambiance, stopped in to check it out. The espresso machine is good sign, so is the decor, very relaxing and homey. It really looks nice. OK, so why only three stars? the food. They have a kitchen in the back, only a few dishes are cooked on the premises. The muffins, croissants, and other similar sweet edibles are purchased from outside and brought into the cafe. The soups were so bland and watery that equated it to a soup from a can. C'mon, it's harvest season: there are plenty of farm vegetables, and it doesn't take much to make a squash soup or a minestrone from scratch. That's what makes a small tucked-in cafe great.
