I have to say I love the girls there and Dr. Smith - everyone is so friendly and genuinely wants the best for you. I went with my mom for a HydraFacial at the end of Feb. I have one HydraFacial per month at another clinic (not in Vegas) and since I am visiting my mom we figured we would try Chic la Vie since she knows I rave about HydraFacials every chance I get.
I don't breakout and I'm not acne-prone - I really have to eat terribly for about two weeks to get a pimple or two. After this HydraFacial, I broke out the next day and for two weeks after I was getting new, teeny whiteheads every day in places I never get them. It's been 18 days and the breakouts have finally slowed down and the majority that popped up in the first week have now gone or healed. Even my mom, at 67, broke out around her mouth and nasolabial folds from the facial - though her breakout resolved in a week.
The issue, I think, is that no bacteria-annihilating device or product was used post-HydraFacial. Every HydraFacial I've ever had has been followed up with a germicidal high frequency wand OR a quick pass of a laser and/or LED to kill the bacteria that inevitably comes to the surface after any sort of facial with extractions. I think if this had been incorporated I would have had my usual glowing, incredible result instead of over two weeks of out-of-character breakouts. My aesthetician was lovely and sweet and I hope this serves as a suggestion to help improve the outcome of this usually awesome facial!
