Had high hopes from reviews. Place was literally the inside of someones house. Server seemed prejudiced because she brought our drinks out and never came back. Another server did the rest. And they would check on every table a lot except ours, because they probably thought white ppl tipped better. I ordered calamari and it was a bit burnt at parts meaning black. It was bland. I barely ate any and just drank soup from what my SO ordered. Servers obviously noticed I barely ate, not once did they ask "is something wrong? Did you want something else?" They just handed me the check and I spoke up saying I didn't like it because it tasted burnt and bland to me to which the server responded, "it's not burnt. It's like that because at stirfried." Like yeah.... I know what burnt is. I've had deep fried food that was stir fried before and it didn't have black marks on it and taste bitter.. and he's like you can talk to the manager. Like I've worked in restaurants as a server when I was younger and whenever I notice someone not enjoying their food I would ask about it and let the manager know they don't like it not just tell them to talk to the manager about it. So at this time I was upset I'm just like yeah whatever. The guy just walked away without getting the manager or anything. I had to walk up to the cash register to pay. He didn't say anything. All I got was "sign here." I usually tip at least 20% on every meal and this is my first time not tipping. Customer service was horrible. I didn't even eat the food and just left it. Customer service and satisfaction should be their first priority rather than defending it and trying to make someone pay for something they don't like. So cheap! Felt so prejudiced against and then almost forced to pay for shitty service and a shitty meal. Go somewhere else for viet food.
