  • To be fair, this wasn't my first time doing a paint and wine event. My first one was at an actual studio with 6 other people, including myself and daughter so that made 8. The smaller groups are more intimate and I was able to get better instruction. The Painting and Vino was held at Aunt Enchilada Restaurant in North Phoenix in the banquet room. Round tables were used which weren't the best setup for everything and my partner had to turn his chair to see better. We had 4 at our table which still made it crowded. About 7 tables with at least 4 or 5 at each one...lots of folks. They were a good crowd, friendly, fun and the instructor was okay, can't remember his name. He had an assistance who helped with getting more paint. My biggest problem was not knowing which paint brushes to use. People had to keep reminding him to tell us which brush to use...and since I was toward the back, when he angled the brush, I couldn't really see. He did try to come around to each table but it was just too crowded for me. Since it is held in a restaurant they of course want you to purchase drinks and food...kind of hard to eat and drink when there isn't space for it (they had to put the finger food entrees on extra chairs). For me I like the smaller groups in a studio setting.
