  • I consider my family veterans of sorts at St Rose, where we've been going for 4 years. First there was Dr Krishen in Henderson whom we adored but she since moved back home (sniff). Then there was Dr Misch who as the managing partner is knowledgeable but he kept reprimanding my daughter not to touch the valuables in the room and on the wall (then don't display them there - no offense). Dr Hodapp visited the hospital where I gave birth to do a first check up on my newborn - no complaints and he had great bedside manner. Dr Winkler is very cautious, once requesting my baby see an endocrinologist for an issue that showed no signs or symptoms but she wanted to be safe. Dr Hyun later told us the endocrinologist was unnecessary unless my daughter began exhibiting other signs to warrant it (she simultaneously praised Dr Winkler's careful ways, which is very professional as they work in the same practice together). Dr Goebel is always good and trusty - she's been practicing forever and has seen many generations come through the Office - and I never have a problem with my kids seeing her. We had a hiccup with dr Alazard when he declared a fever my daughter had as viral so the hospital followed with a similar line of thinking (even Kawasaki's disease! - which was not correct). Ultimately the antibiotics that he and the hospital refused to give led to the resolution of her three week long fever. (Our family doctor ended up prescribing.) That was an expensive one that we're still paying off, however I will say that after complaining about this incident, Judy the manager offered to cover those office visits (which made the sting of a $4k hospital bill a bit more bearable). Ah, then there's Dr Arias - he was a bit "green" a year ago, but he's probably improved a lot since then. The only last comment I have is on the billing - lately our sick visits have been billed out as extensive, which costs $180 with our PPO insurance. It has jumped up since the days when it was $80-100 for a sick visit! Which with our high deductible ends up being out of pocket. Just FYI. So, these days my kids may even see the family doctor before coming here. But I will attribute St Rose to their survival of the past 4 years - vaccines and shots have probably kept them healthy. So there, all my two cents in a long paragraph :) Hoping this helps a newbie family out there!
