| - Of the top 3 (IMHO) Asian groceries in the Strip District (Wing Fat Hong, Lotus Foods, and Many More Asian Market), this place seems to get the most cred. I'm guessing this is partially due to its prime Wholey's-adjacent location in the strip and partially because, for a typical Asian market, it's remarkably clean and organized.
That makes it a pleasure to do my shopping here, although the selection is much smaller than that of the other stores in almost every respect. The exception is the fresh fish corner, which is my go-to for buying fresh whole fish in Pittsburgh when I'm feeling up to the task of cleaning it myself. The seafood selection is variable, but there are typically around 10-12 different varieties of fish, squid, and shellfish. And everything is clearly marked, which is very much appreciated.
The produce selection changes up too, but vegetables are always fresh and cheap. I always get my fresh herbs here, aka I rely on their constant supply of beautiful Thai basil when my own plants call it quits for the winter.
TL;DR--a comfortable, if limited, Asian grocery store experience. No reason not to stop by if you're in the area.
