| - Came here on a whim yesterday after lunch. Since we went in the day time, the restaurant was bright and inviting. There were about two tables occupied on the other side of the restaurant when we came in, they seemed to be playing some intense card games. Upon entering, you are greeted with a display case of board games, and behind it was a video game system playing music.
We opted to sit in a roomy purple booth beside the windows. We only got some of their drinks as we found that their desserts were quite pricey. We got an avocado smoothie with pearls, papaya milk slush, and a hazelnut milk tea with pearls. The drinks are so so, and prices aren't too bad. As this restaurant is new, the servers were very up front in telling us that it was their first time making an avocado smoothie, and were very open to feedback. We sent back the first avocado smoothie as it was lacking in flavor and was very icy; they were quick to make us a second one with more flavor though. Their tapioca pearls aren't too bad. The boys enjoyed them, but I found it to bit too soft for my taste.
I think that with some work, this restaurant could turn out to be something good, and a great location to hang out at as there aren't any similar locations close by. I see this restaurant as a place for table top gamers to rejoice. I don't know the going rate for other restaurants such as this. Their drink recipes could use some work, but I'm looking forward to a future visit when they have become more established.
