I was referred to Dr. Khavkin after MRI results by my PC. First the PA came in spoke for a few minutes then said he and Dr. Khavkin would review my MRI and come back and talk to me. Never saw the PA again. Few minutes later Dr. Khavkin came in seemed nice, said he would make me feel 40 again? I said did you review my MRI and he said yes I will be back in a few minutes and we will go over everything. I never saw him again. Next the surgery scheduler came and took us to an office where a 1st Assisant (?) was and he began to describe the surgery I guess was decided by the Dr. that I needed. I asked a couple of times if the Dr. was going to discuss with me. The assistant said the Dr. didn't have time to talk to all his patients (I guess I didn't make the cut). The scheduler then scheduled my surgery for July and I asked if I would see the Dr. before the surgery was told the week before surgery I would see him. Nothing was offered for pain (injections, therapy, etc) between now and July!! My PC says Dr. Khavkin is one of the best but you would think someone who feels he needs to operate on your spine would at least spend a few minutes discussing. I think I should try to find a Dr who does have time.
