It's true- they will skulk around your neighborhood in the middle of the night, waiting to steal your car that is parked in front of your house. And then they will act like it's your fault.
Parked the car legally in front of my own home at 11 pm (as I've done for years) wake up the next morning and it's gone. Call the police to report it as stolen- they find it at Ashley's, towed at 3 am. Spend afternoon arguing with Ashley's, who lie repeatedly and then finally concede that they made an "honest mistake." Um...my car didn't "accidentally" jump onto your tow truck and cruise across town to your skanky lot.
They basically sign contracts with lazy HOAs and then unscrupulously tow whatever they *think* might meet the conditions of the contract, hoping people won't argue and/or won't be able to pay the fees so they can lien sell the cars they stole. I will continue to follow up with my HOA as I do not want them in my neighborhood.
