The food was excellent. I had chilaquilles with ranchero sauce. Before ordering, I tried the mole as well. It was fantastic. My meal came with beans and chorizo potatoes - both well seasoned and great tasting.
If it were just about the food, I would give 4 1/2 stars (some salt could have been added); but, my service was terrible. I had to ask for silverware, then salt and pepper, and my water stood empty at the edge of my table, directly in front of my server while she stood chatting with other servers. She did come ask me how my food was, but ignored my water glass.
So if bad service doesn't bother you, buen provecho!
I'm back for a second try. I'm having the hamburguesa.
When I got here the waitlist was 15 minutes but I hopped right up to the bar. Trevor greeted me promptly and offered chips and salsa. I had to ask for napkins (again); this seems like a trend because others sitting at the bar had to do the same thing.
My food came quickly. It was cooked competently- but the description didn't match the low level of flavor. I still feel like the food is under seasoned - I had to ask for macha (some sort of chilies).
Service was sooooooooo much better!
I wish the flavors were more interesting.
Third time is a charm! Ramiro gave us excellent service. I didn't have to ask for napkins! And the food tasted wonderful.
