| - This was honestly a pretty f--king strange & disorienting experience. This place has really mixed reviews but since most of them seemed positive I gave it a chance. It's pretty dim once you walk past the cash register, which is not necessarily bad since most people visit for a "massage". I requested a female & was told it would be a 30-45min wait. After 20 minutes I was told a male was ready for me. My repeated request for a female was met with frowns, but after about 10 more minutes I was asked to follow the guy guarding the cash register. He disappeared around a dark corner; being a female in a dim, unfamiliar location, I paused before following. I finally saw an older woman (no one ever told me her name) standing in an (even dimmer) room. She motioned to a chair/chaise so I sat. She left the room, returned with a bucket of water & motioned for me to put my feet in. She motioned for me to lie on my back & began my "massage". Pressure was inconsistent; sometimes it was feather light & sometimes it felt like she was trying to tenderize a REALLY tough cut of meat. All the movements felt perfunctory; like they came from a "how-to" manual. (Grasp finger, move in a circle, pull like someone said "pull my finger". Repeat with remaining fingers.) There's was absolutely NO fluidity to the movements. I was impressed by the fact that she "massaged" everything, including my hair. Yes my hair. After she went over my back with hot stones (it sounded a lot like someone shuffling dominos) something really f--king strange happened. I heard a few taps that sounded A LOT like someone unlocking a cell phone, then I heard a quiet but VERY distinctive camera shutter. She then patted my shoulder, said "all done" & "cash or card?" I told her I needed a minute because I was disoriented; she patted my hair, said "pretty" & escorted me up front to pay. I'd been in the dark 90 minutes with my eyes closed for most of it. I felt like Gizmo from the movie "Gremlins" must have when Billy tried to take his picture & used a flash. I paid & stumbled outside to my car. I actually sat there a few minutes trying to get my bearings. I looked in the mirror to find my face clearly bore impressions from the towel I lay on while my back was "massaged". That's when I remembered the camera noise. WTF was THAT about? This woman was a complete stranger & I'm CERTAIN she took a picture of me lying there, post "massage". The more I think about it the more it creeps me out. I can say with certainty I WILL NOT BE GOING BACK.
