| - Do not board your dogs at this facility! Normally we have someone watch our dog at the house but decided to try this place because it had such great reviews. The staff was friendly when we dropped off our dog and they explained how to log in to the cameras and watch our dog sleep or play. We brought dog food, toys, treats, and a blanket. Our dog had his own room and they placed the blanket in the room but over three days no sign of his toy and then the blanket disappeared. We were originally told that the dogs go outside every two hours to play. I am a dog lover so I watched the camera and noticed he went out in the evening with all of the other dogs but that was it. He also was not supposed to be out with other dogs because he is not fixed. Not sure that other dog owners would be happy about that but I could be wrong. Hours would pass and no one would check on him. As I was on vacation I watched my dog scratch the door and bark incisively to go out with no reprieve. He does not bark like that when he is home. The handlers opened the door in the morning and pushed a bowl of food in and then closed the door. They didn't play with my dog, talk to him, or pet him. It was a nightmare to watch this on the cameras! When we went to pick him up we were handed a report card that said he devoured his food, talked a lot, played fetch with the staff, had plenty of exercise and enjoyed his stay. This was total bullshit! I watched the dog food stay in his room all day long. He usually doesn't eat much when we are away so I would have been fine with the truth which was, he didn't eat much, not, he devoured his food. My dog doesn't play fetch (ever) and no one interacted with him so unless they think his constant barking was his way of being talkative, they were lying to my face. We payed $60 each night and after watching his stay on camera, I feel I definitely overpaid. Then when we were checking out, they asked if I wanted to add a tip for the handlers?! It took everything in me to bite my tongue. The handlers need a tip for opening doors? That's crazy! I just wanted to get my dog and go. I forgot to mention that my dog smelled horrible and so did the blanket after I had to remind them that we brought one. If the rooms were properly cleaned, dogs would not smell like excrement and urine. This is disturbing... About 1hour after we left, I looked at the room that my dog stayed in and there was already another dog in the room with the same blanket and toys that were in the room when my dog stayed there. There is NO WAY that room was properly disinfected and ready to go for another dog in such a short amount if time. Now I know why my dog smelled so bad. We will not be returning to this facility. The only reason this place got one star was because the staff at the front desk was pleasant.
