  • There are times in your life when you realize that you are just too damn old for this. Call it the Murtaugh effect. The Delta Chelsea is not a luxurious hotel by any means. If I was mid-20s, I would have loved it. The main selling point is its central location and reasonable cost. Close to downtown, easily accessible by public transportation, has wifi, a pool, hot tub, and sauna...great! Nope, I am too damn old for this. Jet lag and construction in the morning does not mix. Charging for local calls without prior warning is tacky. Skipping the cleaning of my room violates Hotel Code #1. The group celebrating a birthday by yelling down the hallways at 4AM and moving the potted plant into the elevator (when only 2 elevators were working)...aren't you cute. So now that I am an adult, I'd rather pay a bit more for an upgraded hotel. Oh, Delta Chelsea. Great location and I loved that the adults had a separate pool area, but if I'm on vacation, I want to feel like I'm on vacation.
