  • I absolutely love caribana. Foods, music, people and sunshine... What's not to love? This year I played mass for the first time (dancing in the parade wearing a costume) it was such an amazing experience and I will definitely do it again. For those of you who have never been to caribana I will give you a brief explanation. They block of lakeshore and various floats an people in costumes dance down the street. People watch from the grass and side walk. Someone people jump over the fence and dance down the street with us and some people bring lawn chairs and watch the parade go by. Along the side there are vendors selling various Caribbean products and foods. Those if you who are not familiar with the culture may be a little overwhelmed but its something worth trying. People of all cultures come out to celebrate. My favourite part about playing mass this year, was all the tourist and kids that stopped me to take pictures. Hope to see you next year!
