  • Average- nothing special- and certainly not worth the 140$ dinner for 3. We had read many positive reviews about The Old Stone Steakhouse so we were excited to try it. We were pleasantly surprised at how crowded it was on a Thursday evening, thinking this was an indication it might be a hidden gem. Our waiter was attentive, charming., and honest about the menu items. I would say he was the best part of the experience. Considering the interior could use an update and better lighting. We ordered two vodka martini's and they were served in beer glasses because the restaurant had run out of traditional martini glasses. The charming waiter - said "sorry about the glasses- Welcome to Gaston County". We should have left right then! We stayed and ordered the ribeye, prime rib, and salmon. All of which were served with a traditional wedge. Oh wait.....except no blue cheese or bacon crumbles which in my option is the best part of a wedge. The lettuce was not fresh and had a few brown edged. Disappointed again! The steaks were served as ordered, my daughter loved the salmon (yeah)! Nothing spectacular- and even though we are local we are not planning on a return trip to Belmont's Old Stone Steakhouse!
