| - We went without a reservation at about 715 on a Saturday night, and although there was a line, only waited about 15 minutes for a table. Unfortunately, that good thing is also the only thing I can ding this place for, and that is they do rush to get you out of there, and I don't like to be rushed when eating.
Otherwise, this place is amazing. This is the third time I have been here and I love it. I could not wait to bring my visiting daughter here and she was blown away also.
She ordered the Bun Nem Nuong (meatball with vermicelli),and although the flavors were amazing, I think she was a little disappointed that the meat was actually more like a slice of barbequed spam. I had the same type of dish, but with sliced beef and salad and it was excellent. I have traveled to Vietnam, so I have to say that this visit to Lang Van was like the others, in that the food is very authentic.
We both ordered a Vietnamese "33" beer - ice cold and great with the meal.
Unfortunately, every time I put my chopsticks down for a moment, someone would come and try to take my bowl. I did not know how to impress upon our server to back off without being rude, but she was good natured when I just kept saying, "please, not yet."
Nonetheless, I love Lang Van, and can't imagine not going back.
