  • The Double Wide Grill is another iteration of your typical American restaurant. It was a good stop for our large group on a Saturday afternoon for lunch. I looked like they had a bar area that was somewhat separated from the more family friendly dining area we were at. They also have outdoor seating for the warmer months. It sounds like one of their locations is pretty neat and has some camper trailers integrated into the restaurant to give it a unique theme, but we didn't see any of that here. The menu isn't anything too special, but is very large and has something for everybody. When we were there, they had their regular lunch menu on top of a special brunch menu. Both were large on their own, but the options seemed to run the entire gamut when you combined them. I can't help but think of how long food items sit in a freezer before they are cooked for a place with that many options, so I usually just stick with something simple and got the wings. They fall pretty low on the hierarchy of wings I have had at places like this, and aren't something I would get again. I don't think anybody was too impressed with their meals, but there was a lot of food for a relatively good price. The thing that stood out to me here was their large draft list. They had a great list of local craft beers, including some special seasonal choices. That beer list is probably what would get me back in here. Our waitress was good, especially with our large group all splitting up checks. The restaurant side that we were seated on had a kid's play area, which while I'm sure is awesome for parents, wasn't great for those of us not interested in kids running around and yelling during lunch. Sitting on the bar side would have solved that problem for me though. Overall, it was a good stop for a large group. Nothing warranted any significant complaints, but there also wasn't anything that made me want to come back. It is what it is.
