| - Okay, I'll be completely honest, if I didn't have free tickets, I probably would have never went to this show. I had heard of the Tenors of Rock before, but I wasn't really interested either way, especially as I'm just biased against cover acts to begin with. But that's another story.
But anyways, I had free tickets. So why not?
The show takes place in the ~intimate~ showroom in the mezzanine area of Harrah's. The theater itself being decorated like a late 60s/70s/80s era rock music hall in merry ol' England.
I took my seat honestly not expecting much, but not in a bad mood over it because, hey, free.
At the end of it all, I was honestly impressed. I really, really liked it. The band and the dancers were both fantastic. The five singers were impressive, a whole lot of fun and actually did justice to the songs they covered. I was blown away by their rendition of Bohemian Rhapsody. Oh, and they did something seemingly impossible by taking the creepy "Music of The Night" number from the Phantom of the Opera musical and made it sound not creepy. To say I was shocked would be an understatement.
Overall, I would recommend it and maybe even go again. The music was awesome. The dancers were hot. The banter was hilarious. It was overall a great experience.
The Final Verdict:
Pros:
Classic rock.
Exceptional singing.
The guys have a great sense of humor.
I saw it for free, but the tickets are still reasonably priced, starting at $35.
Cons:
The seating arrangement in the theater was slightly uncomfortable.
A couple of the song selections weren't to my taste, but that's just me.
Huh?:
Please, tell me Jimmy is wearing some type of underwear beneath his kilt?
Return Factor:
6/10....mainly because I'd be more interested if they switch up some of the setlist between shows.
