| - We were celebrating our anniversary on New Years night and thought this restaurant was the perfect spot. I was wrong.
We entered the restaurant with no issue as we were seated right away. And that's when everything went wrong. The waitress took a long while to get our order, and when we were ready, my girlfriend asked if we can have all our orders delivered at the same time. This is because her main dish was tom kha kai which tends to come in first because they're served as an appetizer. She also ordered pineapple fried rice with that because that's how she enjoys the soup. Back to the order, when she asked the waitress if all our food be delivered at the same time, the rep retorted a not-so-reassuring, "Uhm... I hope so." She chuckled and walked away. Experiencing was displeasing as if they weren't even going to try and make it happen.
We waited a while for our food to come in, and guess what? They all came in separately. First, it was the chicken satay which we ate pretty quickly. Then we got the soup and my noodle entree. My girlfriend tried waiting for the fried rice when she realized that her soup was getting cold. Very displeasing to see her not eat with me. At that point, she started eating the soup and thinking twice about the other order that was still late. So she went up to another server to tell them that she didn't want that order anymore.
The food was very basic. Nothing about it stood in mind. My noodles lacked a little bit of sauce as it appeared dry. The satay was rubbery and the peanut sauce that went along with it was bland. My girlfriend liked her soup but was not impressed about the mushroom used with it. Still, it hit the spot.
Overall, would we come back for a second round? No. The restaurant was courteous enough to give us a 10% off discount for the trouble, which was surprising because it didn't really seem like they cared from the beginning. Anyway, we're too paranoid for repeated offender so I think we'll pass this restaurant and go somewhere else.
