  • This salon reuses dirty nail files and buffers on many different clients, which is a violation of the law. By doing this, they are potentially transmitting MRSA, Hep C, HIV, fungus, and a variety of other infections. Sharing nail files potentially puts anyone who gets their nails done here at risk for getting sick. Metal implements can be cleaned and reused, but porous instruments like files and buffing blocks MUST be new for each client. This is both Pennsylvania law and common sense. I had my nails done at this location last week and the tech used a dirty file and buffing block. When I asked, she said it was fine, but I had a feeling in my gut it was not. I called the state licensing board for cosmetology and they told me under NO circumstances is a salon supposed to reuse nail files. If they will not pay the cost of keeping their nail files sanitary and safe, what else are they skimping on that you can't see? It's disgusting and dangerous and completely unacceptable.
