| - I have purchased many new cars over the years, and I approach each time with trepidation. You would think that with the internet, and the information that buyers have in hand that dealers would grow up and not play the game. Not so at Lexus of Las Vegas, it's still old school all the way.
Let's start with the sticker. $1280 of additional dealer profit, disguised as window tint, dealer paint protection, and door edge guards. This is in addition to the usual mandatory paperwork fees you see at every dealership.
First the trade in, lowball at auction price, half of Kelly Blue Book, 1/3 of used car lot price. Give me a break. Also when got the vehicle back from being evaluated I find a screwdriver left under the hood. Exactly what did they need a screwdriver for to evaluate my trade in?
Negotiation on price, never happened, they never budged off of full list price plus $1280 dealer add ons. I'm sorry I know what the vehicle sells for. I can go to Costco, or Truecar and get a realistic price. Its the end of the model year, instant depreciation, new model in 45 days. You aren't doing me a favor.
No I'm not interested in payments, I want to know what I will be paying for the vehicle. Period. Had a computer generated version of 4 Square. Yes the public knows what that is after a century of BS.
Would I buy from Lexus of Las Vegas.....doubtful, only if a buying service sent me there with a price in hand. Even then, I'd service it elsewhere, don't know if I could trust them.
