Most of you know I'm a chicken fried steak junkie. My friend told me this one was good, so I visited to see for myself. I asked the waiter if it's freshly battered and he said it's not. I got scared it was going to be like spam meat like Mimi's Cafe. When the steak arrived, I looked good and it didn't look like it was a frozen steak and it wasn't like spam. It was a large flank steak tenderized, breaded and deep fried crispy. I think the waiter meant it wasn't battered right before it goes into the fryer. I think this steak is prepared in advance on the premise and put into a container for quick cooking later in the day. I don't think it's a frozen steak pre-battered shipped in a cardboard box. The steak was so big, they have to cut it in half to put it on the plate.
