| - 6 floors of awesomeness!
My dad got a membership to the Hall, so I was able to check it out on Black Friday while I was in Cleveland.
The area around the Hall is quite cool. The Science Muesum is just next door, complete with windmill. Next to that, Cleveland Browns stadium, a place where musical acts and mediocre football teams play.
Now, onto the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. The Hall itself is quite cool: the giant glass pyramid draws you in. But on the inside, well it's equally awesome. Music memorabilia, historical breakdowns of nearly everyone related to the development of rock & roll, films devoted to the inductees and other aspects of rock, special sections for the cities of music (Memphis, Detroit, London/Liverpool, San Francisco, LA, New York, Seattle, etc), special sections for specific bands (Elvis/The Beatles/Rolling Stones), special exhibitions (when I was there it was the Women of Rock), and other awesome things.
The gift shop is a little pricey, but otherwise the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame is the perfect way to spend a day learning about the history of rock, and America.
