  • I have been to this nail salon a handful of times and my general sense is that this salon is "MEH". They advertise $10 shellac but this is only polish change/application, and if you already have shellac on your nails, it's an additional $5. I never really get why salons charge an additional fee if you already have shellac on your nails, especially if you got it done at their salon! The salon itself feels kind of bare, and empty. No real decor or ambience. The work stations and general salon itself feels unkempt and a little dirty/dusty? This place is definitely not the most relaxing place to feel pampered. On my most recent visit, I got a shellac polish change. The technician made me sit soaking my nails for 15-20 mins as she went to tend to another customer, that came after me, but I guess deserved more attention because she was getting a mani/pedi. This didn't sit right with me. After soaking my nails for so long, they rushed the shellac removal process and barely filed or buffed my nails. I like a natural color on my nails and after the tech was done, I could see bumps/dust/lint embedded in the shellac from a rushed job. I pointed it out to the tech and she merely added more clear coating. Within 3 days, the polish started to bubble/peel on half my fingers. I have been getting my shellac mani at another salon, and came to Bloomy because I needed a polish change last minute - I now see the difference in the quality of workmanship. On previous visits, I have gotten shellac mani/pedi and experienced pretty much the same rushed service (to a lesser extent) and a bit of a sloppy job, so I think this review is pretty indicative of my overall experience with Bloomy. The prices are a bit lower compared to other nail salons in the area, but you certainly get what you pay for. The techs are nice, but their work quality is not the best. I would only return if I was in a crunch and couldn't get an appointment elsewhere.
