My wife and I showed up with a reservation for a mid-size sedan and two car seats for our children. They gave us a Chevy Cruze that hadn't been washed and two car seats that looked like they came from the 80s. The car seats also didn't have any straps and buckles to secure them to the car. We went back to the help desk in the airport, and they paged the manager to come meet us in the garage. The manager saw the car seats, and said "I don't know where these came from; I guess some previous passenger just left them there." And these were the seats they gave us with our reservation! They proceeded to procure several other car seats, none of which had the proper straps or equipment. The manager seemed indifferent to the fact that the seats wobbled in place when installed, and in fact he said it was normal for them to be loose in the seat. The car seat for our infant had to be counterbalanced against the driver's seat, so we couldn't adjust the seat for the driver. Honestly, we didn't feel like we or the kids were safe with this setup, but after TWO HOURS dealing with the this mess, we just wanted to get out of there.
I'm sure this whole experience would have been just fine if we hadn't had kids, and we would have driven away happy. But if you do happen to have one or more children, DO NOT TRUST THIS BUDGET. Bring your own seats!
