We had reservations next door but it was way too loud for dinner so they took us here right away. Interesting menu with some really unique choices. I asked the waiter to turn down the music a little and she did right away. Just a few things set me off here. One was the " bread o request" which I initially liked but someone in our party wanted bread. So the procedure is the waiter "prepares" your bread which is essentially warming up and toasting 4 small slices of baguette. A laborious and time consuming task apparently. We had ordered a cheese and meat plate for our starter and they had a delicious tomato jam on there that would have been good with bread. They make most of their pasta here so I had eggplant parm with chitarra (sp?) pasta. I feel I am an expert on this dish and I am thinking the eggplant should cut easily and be tender not crunchy. Enough said. I wanted a little more sauce as the pasta was lacking sauce. The waited told me she would have to have some heated up. It arrived after a while cold as a stone! The sauce was good even cold. I want to be clear we will come here again. It is not a low priced restaurant but the effort is really there and it's imaginative. I think our waiter was over tasked on this particular visit.
