  • Finally made it out to Mert's over the weekend and wasn't disappointed. I got the salmon cakes which had solid flavor and came with a remoulade sauce that kicked them up a bit without being overwhelmingly spicy. The cornbread was big, flaky and delicious. Mac and cheese had more of a creamy consistency to it, with good flavor. Green beans were also fantastic. Huge portions - I had my leftovers for dinner. Service was a bit slow, but they were busy, so all is forgiven. Our waitress was very attentive and offered to replace a salmon cake that was a bit burned without us asking.
