  • I'd been hearing about newacunit.com on the radio, and thought we'd give them a try when the time came. The heat pump on one of our rental units died, and I used the opportunity to check out newacunit. The web site was easy to navigate, but I still had questions. They answered all my questions on the phone, and I placed my purchase online. The installation contractor surveyed for the install the next day, and our system was installed 2 days after placing the order. The installation went smoothly, and i was pleased with their professionalism. Two things could have made it better: 1) Additional work charges should have been unambiguously detailed prior to commencing the job. I agreed to the work ahead of time (it was "required") - - but the charge was not detailed. In the end the charge was fair, I just didn't know what it was going to be. 2) I haven't yet received a "PAID" receipt for the work performed (on 12/20) by the installation contractor. I'm sure this is just an oversight on the contractor's part - but I feel like I shouldn't have to ask him (twice) for a $1K++ receipt. I'd do it again, and will recommend newacunit to my friends and family as the opportunity comes up.
