We took our family to the Allen theater to see A Christmas Story and it was indeed a wonderful show. The storyline pretty much follows the same thing you would see on Christmas Day with the original movie. The child actors that were involved in this production were very very good. Some differences from the plate to the movie was that they added a plot line where Ralphie has a girl that crushes on him also there is a lot of interaction with old Ralphie and young Realty. They took a bit of artistic license with interpretation of the play from the movie version but I guess that's expected. The actual Allen Theatre had very adequate parking, the theater is beautiful but we were in the balcony and there was no service in the balcony meeting that they had a bar but it just wasn't open. My main complaint and gripe is it was hotter than Hades in there. The theater was decorated for Christmas and they were beautiful trees but I just could not get past the fact that it was so darn hot in there and I probably won't go back I just can't stand being in a room with that many people and it being so hot.
