The new and improved Fall Run Park is worth checking out. I would highly recommend it for families with children as the trail is not too long and there are several places to stop and enjoy the scenery (or even a picnic lunch).
The newly built bridges and steps along the trail itself make it easily accessible. It's not a far hike (about a mile in length one way), but the waterfall is a beautiful way to end your walk. Don't expect to work up much of a sweat, but if you're looking for a lovely community park where you can relax for a few hours this is a great spot.
There are parking lots at either end of the park but I think the view walking from Fall Run Road (vs Ledgeview Drive) is better. I met a friend there on a weekday afternoon and it was already a popular attraction so expect some traffic within the park.
