  • This place BARELY gets 3 stars. I'm sorry, but this is basically a knock off of Dylan's Candy Bar and then add a restaurant to it. I went for dinner as part of a bachelorette party (I did not pick the restaurant). It was picked because "one of the Kardashian's had just eaten here". Ok, we're from LA - who gives a shit who has eaten anywhere. I'm sure they were paid to eat there to boost this new restaurant. Ok..moving on. We entered from the hotel side through their Chocolate Lounge - I wish I could write a separate review of the lounge...so just scroll down. Our reservations were available on time, but the hostess looked like she could have cared less that anyone, let alone customers, were standing in front of her. Walk back to the round table where they squeezed 7 of us between two four tops. The menu is huge, think Cheesecake Factory. Specialty drinks are....special. Great ideas but honestly too sweet to actually consume. Everyone but the bride got wine and her specialty drink was finished but not so much enjoyed. The food was fine, hence the 3 stars. There was nothing wrong with it, but also nothing fantastic. Everyone's food was just - average. Our poor waiter, was great for the most part. Then, while clearing the plates, squeezed between the tables, he accidentally spilled some of the dressing off a salad down one of our friends' dresses. The oil, of course ruined the cream dress. Now, she was able to dab it off and it dried pretty clear so it didn't ruin the night - but here is my problem. The waiter was great, he was super sorry - and it was obviously an accident. IT TOOK 20 MINUTES FOR THE MANAGER TO COME OVER. Even when he did, he was barely sorry, we had to coax him comping the meal and some drinks, and then he (begrudgingly) offered to pay for the dry cleaning of the dress. I'm sorry, but that is pathetic. You may so, oh well I'm sure it was because they were so busy. Sure they were busy, but he saw him wondering around checking on tables...and talking with our waiter numerous times. He knew where we were, and what had happened, and was just to pathetic to come over. NOW FOR THE CHOCOLATE LOUNGE!! Omg I want to give this 5 stars. After this fiasco, and a lil walk through the candy shop, I suggested we go next door for some champagne and chocolate (hoping it would be a lil mood pick me up). It was amazing. There are lots of different chocolate and fondue options so you can get something pretty small and inexpensive, or ridiculously opulent. Our waiter saw our 7 person bachelorette party coming and fixed us up at a nice booth and bumped up our original order. We ended up with the 3 chocolate taster (white, dark, milk chocolate) and then 6 options (white chocolate bread, bananas, strawberries, pound cake, gummy bears and...HOMEMADE MARSHMALLOWS). The marshmallows made up for the entire evening in my mind. So skip the restaurant, go straight for the chocolate lounge and stay there.
