  • So much love for this park. So much to do, so much to see!!!! First of all, easy access - right on Lakeshore and there are numerous parking lots so even if you drive by a few, you'll find a place to park. I was there on a Sunday in September and didn't have to pay for parking - WINNING. All the machines are covered so I'm not sure if they don't charge in September at all, or if it's just Sundays. Either way, worth it even if you have to give the City a few bucks. THINGS TO DO: - Paddle Boarding - the greatest water sport I have done so far (aside from jetski). - Canoeing - Kayaking - Not swimming. Gross - stepping into that water to get onto the paddle board almost made me vom. Right by the Sunnyside pavilion, there is a rental place where a nice boy called Amar will teach you how to do, when to do and where to do. It's free and he's an amazing teacher. Go for a walk along the boardwalk, DON'T GO FOR A WALK ALONG THE BIKE PATH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WTH PEOPLE. I hope one day you do that in Amsterdam and get run over by a psycho biker. I won't even be sad. Just don't do it, I almost crashed into a girl who's boyfriend was "walking her" on the bike path while he walked on the pedestrian path. I HATE YOU!!! Rant over. Amazing view of the Toronto skyline. Great romantic spot if you wanna make out n stuff on the rocks to the splashes of Humber beneath your feet. There is a pool but tis closed now - it operates June to Sept only. FUN FACT: Sunnyside Pavilion was built in the 20s so it's got an amazing eerie look to it, and it was originally built as a changing facility for people who were going to swim in Lake Ontario. When people realized that muf*ka is cold as all hell, a pool was built. history rant over. Go here. Bring kids to the playground, loved ones to make out with, blankets to eat on, bikes to ride and running shoes to jog. DO IT ALL. I love Toronto.
