Finally a viable chain alternative to that old, nasty, mom & pop Popcorn Shop, that's been ripping off Chagrin Falls for years by the bus load with boring, bland flavorless so-called "ice cream." Let's be honest folks, there's a reason Jeni's is found in the Heinen's freezer section and not Popcorn shoppe. Here's a chain location that get's it right!!!!
Jeni's offers a wide variety of flavors made in Columbus and shipped into Chagrin. Here they encourage you to try as many flavors as possible before buying. Don't like Cayenne ice cream? Then sample what you do like and order from there.
I found a new favourite in Brambleberry Crisp ice cream, but everything I've tasted from Jeni's so far has been just splendid. $4 for a double scoop is a bargain compared to the competition's offerings. Especially considering that most people spend $4-5 for a coffee everyday next door at the Starbucks.
The worst part about this Chagrin Falls location is the crazy customers. These folks don't know how to queue, they stare at the menu for seemingly hours and they still don't seem to know what they're ordering.
On the night of my first visit there was a line out the door. Not because the place was great, but because the other customers were being typical idiots. Here's a thought...if you don't know how or what to order, then maybe you're better off going to the Popcorn Shop or Baskin Robbins for your boring, bland ice cream made with low quality product.
