  • Never again! I don't care how great the act is, I'm not going back to the Sound Academy. The worst, muddiest sound of any concert venue I've ever been to, completely ruining the musical experience of seeing Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings last night. I'm reasonably tall, so I can usually see when standing in a crowd, but if you're under 5'6" or so, why even bother? I don't care if the venue is cheap. $15 cabs there and back, or $15 parking, add to the cost, and I'd happily pay a lot more for tickets to a proper concert venue. Leave the Sound Academy to the all-ages pop-punk shows.
