I really hate amending a review, especially when it means I have to take my rating down a notch or two.
This place was my "little gem" on the west side - a delightful little sushi bar with exceptional food.
The thing that made Hokaido Sushi so great was the sushi chef - Eddie, but he's gone now - and so is my love for this place.
The chefs who remain do a marvelous job and the quality of the fish has not diminished one bit, but the magic is gone and the place just isn't the same.
Now, please excuse me while I go over in the corner and have myself a little cry.
