| - I love, Love, LOVE Birdsong's new location near the McGill Rose Garden on N. Davidson. The new location is much closer to Uptown, has parking, and most importantly -has plenty of space to accommodate thirsty weekend crowds.
The best part about the new location is the patio. Like most breweries in Charlotte that do not serve food, Birdsong is dog friendly. Their amazing patio is a perfect spot to enjoy some pretty great beer and some bonding time with your pup.
Birdsong's indoor space is pretty darn phenomenal too... the ceilings are high, there is plenty of seating, there are ample toilet stalls in the women's restroom (hooray), and there is a lot of great natural light.
The only downside I witnessed is the weekend we were there, the place was gangbusters and there were only three people behind the bar. We spent a considerable amount of time waiting for our drinks & if we hadn't had to wait in line so long, we probably would've doubled the amount of beer we drank.
Birdsong has a lot of great beers, but I love the Jalapeño Pale Ale so much that I just can't bring myself to drink any of their other varieties. If you haven't tried the Birdsong Jalapeño, do yourself a favor and give it a try! It's a relatively light, crisp pale ale with a subtle yet delicious after taste of jalapeño.
If you haven't been, give the new Birdsong a try, you won't be disappointed!!!
