I recently saw this "physician" (why the quotes you may ask?) well...I question his credentials as a psychiatrist, but that's another conversation. I am presently enrolled in therapy with an excellent therapist who is helping me a great deal. He thought it would be a good idea if I were prescribed something for my ongoing depression. Less than one minute in his office, he assessed that I am fat (gee....my mirror at home must not be working, because, who knew?) and he went on and on about the dangers of obesity (Yes, thank you, my PCP and I have covered this) and essentially could have cared less as to why I was really there, which I had to keep bringing him back to. The fact that this man is in a profession which normally garners compassionate clinicians, I find his credentials suspect. He has the compassion and personality of a clenched fist. I tore up the script he wrote, and saw someone else who truly wanted to help me get on the proper medication. This Dr. Kahane is a joke.
