| - My husband and I purchased our puppy in 2017. After everything was said and done, to take her home was almost $3,000! We were told the price was high because of her age (10 weeks). Being naive as we were, we thought it was reasonable since she supposedly came from a respectable breeder and the breed we wanted seemed to be hard to find in the area.
Upon receiving her papers, there was no information about her parents, nothing about their weight or bloodline. Nada. We just had to take their word that she was even a pure bred, I guess? We had done our research on her breed and had an idea of what to expect. However, 3 months later, our puppy was showing some bizarre traits and just being very difficult.
Curious as to why my fur baby was acting this way, I dug up her records and found her breeders information. Went on Google and bam, PUPPY MILL. I practically cried. Not only did we pay almost $3,000 for a puppy mill puppy, she's from one of the worst puppy mills in America: TLC Kennel in Missouri! "A USDA inspector visiting TLC's Kennel in Clinton, Missouri found 109 dogs confined to a darkened building with no windows. Some dogs were smeared with feces; others were seriously underweight." There are people posting that it needs to be shut down!
I can't explain how disgusted and disappointed I was. Although I'm thankful to have my little fur baby in my life, anyone looking to purchase a puppy from this place, I would recommend getting the breeders information and researching before going through with it.
