I took my dinged Chevy Equinox to the Chevy body shop for an estimate. The front desk people were nice. The ones in the back were not polite, they had me stand there, treated me like I was bothering them, if I dared to interrupt. The gentleman who finally wrote the estimate, deemed the car drivable although I told him it was not because it was not stable and pulled to the left and couldn't drive faster that 25mph without losing control over the wheel. How can a person deem a car drivable without even starting the engine let alone drive it? He also failed to see that the front right wheel was turned in and unibody work was needed at the bottom, where you put your feet to get off the car. Then he refused to keep my car there's because their lot was full and went to great length to explain to me they were booked and everybody else was booked a month in advance. Today I went to a competitor who was also booked until the end of March (so 6 weeks then). They paid attention to me, took pictures, including the check stability light and didn't dismiss it like Rohrich people did, "ah it's nothing, we just need to reset it." They didn't say sneering "what kind of insurance is this? never heard of these people?" This new auto body shop actually helped me get a rental.
