| - I've gone to VOS Massage five times over the course of a year, and despite the fact that I've only had a few other experiences with massage therapists, I think this place sets a nice bar for the experience.
I tend to get a little awkward at the places that are UBER posh, the ones that pamper you from start the finish. I feel like my massage is really the important part, and as long as THAT is good, you don't need to try so hard otherwise. (Kinda like hair or nail salons that try to win you over with the "experience" but leave you with subpar hair or nails.) But don't get me wrong, VOS is comfortable when you walk in. It's a small studio on the second floor, nice soft white carpeting, a comfy couch to wait, a little bathroom to freshen up and a water machine for tea or such.
But really, it's the massage. I've had two different therapists since I've gone there, and both were really good at addressing my needs. Currently I can't recommend Alexey enough, when I had some back troubles he gave me some great tips and helped realign parts of my back. Now that I'm running and have different requirements, I felt he adapted my massage accordingly and I left feeling great.
Since it is part-spa, tips are not requested but accepted. (Not sure who, in a previous review, ASKED for a tip, that's weird, it's never happened to me.)
They sell packages and individual pricing and you can book your time ONLINE, which is probably one of my favourite parts.
