  • A hidden gem. Unique home of a guy who lived off the grid. He began building in 1929 until his death in 1945. Building materials were what he could barter for. He didn't pay for anything. With some engineering know-how, having attended Texas A&M, he created a dream home of sorts that his wife and daughter lived in until their deaths, the latter in 2010. Check the website for hours.
