| - I put off writing this review for awhile. You know how go you somewhere for the first time and get great service, great food or whatever and your not sure if it was just a good day for that business or if that's how it always is? That's why I put it off. The first time my wife and I went we had great service and the food we had was awesome. We started with the pretzel bites. They were awesome. They reminded me of one of our favorite hot pretzel places that we use to go to. Unfortunately it has since gone out of business, year and years ago, but I still miss the way those pretzels were cooked and how they tasted. These took me back to that time, they were awesome. The cheese dip was good but nothing special, then again it wasn't back then either. I highly recommend them. I had the grilled wings with the hot sauce and blue cheese. They don't toss the wings in the sauce (they will if you want), which I normally really like, but I ordered them just how they serve them. They are advertised as grilled on the menu but I believe that they are probably grilled then deep fried or vise versa. They were crisp and juicy and the house seasoning that they use was great. My wife had the chicken strips and house cut fries. These are not your normal strips. You can tell they are made from a real chicken breast, hand breaded and deep fried. They are also delicious. The fries are hand cut and seasoned with their house seasoning, they are very good. The second time we went we both had the wings but sub fried pickles for pretzel bites. This was one reason I gave 4 stars and not 5. I love fried pickles but some places really over-bread them where other places barely use any. There is a fine line between good and failure. These I feel were a failure. The breading was way to thick and unfortunately soaked up a lot of the grease. Several pieces that were in the basket were nothing more than pieces of breading with no pickle - just not a fan. This last time we went my wife had the strips again and I had the Rueben. Not your traditional Rueben but at least they used corned beef and not pastrami. This Rueben used house made coleslaw instead of sauerkraut and a pretzel bun, not rye. It was different but also delicious. The sandwich came with house made potato chips dusted with the house seasoning. They were good, crisp and flavorful. This time the strips were slightly over cooked and a couple of them had a burnt taste that was very off-putting. My wife said the 3 she ate were delicious, it was just that the last two were burnt - the other reason for 4 and not 5 stars. We will definitely go back, we want to try the fish fry. The service has been on point all 3 times. The beer selection is also extensive, if trying different things is your forte.
