| - Absolutely the most rude people/management work here. I went in to Ben Jewelers to have a ring fixed. It was a ring that was missing an Emerald. The gentleman who helped me told me they would replace it and check all the other prongs for maintenance. I received my ring back, paid the fees. Less than a month later, another Emerald fell out! I thought this was extremely weird since only one had fallen out over the 25 years, and now a second one. I took the ring back and he apologized and told me it would be covered under warranty to have it fixed and replaced. Then I get a call telling me the repair fees to repair this! They told me it was a different stone, so it wasn't underwarranty. They were now charging me for a new stone and for were going to charge me a maintenance fee. I mentioned that when I had the ring in last month, they were to check the ring for maintenance and when I received the ring back, I was told it was all fixed and perfect. So why was I missing an Emerald? They couldn't tell me, and told me to wait a week until a manager could speak to me. Super irritated, I waited the week. Then I spoke to the manager, she was absolutely rude the entire time and argued with me. Continuously telling me it wasn't warrantied. Then told me the jeweler didn't ever check the ring or do any maintenance, but that I needed to pay for this now. I refused. It wasn't until I was going to file a corporate complaint that she agreed to have the ring fixed at no cost to me, since it wasn't done right the first time. Weeks go by, and I just went to pick my ring up. The lady greeted me and asked me for my id, I gave it to her. She looked at my Id and then at me and said, "the emerald"? And I said yes. She then whispered to her manager, who was whispering to another employee. They stood there whispering for a few minutes to each other. Then she comes back and tells me they don't have my ring, and asked me if I had asked for it to be sent back. I told her a gentleman called and told me it was there to pick up over a week ago. They then start snickering and whispering and looking around and magically find the ring. They then stand there for another 5-10 minutes whispering and then one of the ladies hands me the ring. As I said thank you and put it on, the manager proceeded to yell across the store as I was leaving, that this ring's work wasn't warrantied anymore!! Since WHEN is their work not warrantied? I am absolutely disgusted with this store.
On top of that, when I was in there on my original visit, I had asked for another ring to be cleaned, and showed her a certificate for the ring. She proceeded to tell me that this ring didn't come from there, and it came from Kay Jewelers. I kept telling her it came from a road show, the diamond was hand picked then sent into the setting. She argued with me that it wasn't from there. I ended up going home to tell my mom and fiance what she said, and I was handed receipts that totaled around 16k for this ring..and it WAS in fact from Ben!! What a absolute disgrace to degrade both myself and my jewelry.
