Anyone who knows anything about cooking (especially Italian cooking) knows that olive oil plays an important roll in almost every meal. And the better the oil, the better the culinary experience. The Olive Scene is a testament to this fact.
We met one of the owners (Tracy Lockhart; a cooking teacher and very friendly, enthusiastic cheerful woman who was more than happy to create a mini tour for the 6 people that showed up to check out her place). With her attitude and enthusiasm, I have no doubt that the Olive Scene will succeed at this location.
An amazing and unique little place that claims to have the freshest olive oil possible (as well as other great little items of culinary fun and function). You can sample an amazing array of oils in little shot glasses - and dip in little piece of bread - all gratis. Considering the shops and restaurants nearby, The Olive Scene has found a nice home and is a great place to do something that mature adults (and me) like to do ; contemplate the finer things in life that make the world a little tastier, more healthful and interesting.
I have no doubt that if you stop in, you won't regret it.
