  • If you ever come to Las Vegas, Fremont Street is one place you must definitely come down to, especially if you are one that is a penny pincher somewhat! Fremont Street was back in the day, the Strip! Filled with so much history, Fremont Street, now with such fixer uppers, is becoming a boom for tourism. My first hotel stay in Las Vegas just so happened to be at Fremont Street. I fell in love ever since! There is just so much to do, see and experience. Note that you cannot walk around with any open alcohol container but plastic cups that every hotel provides you with upon exiting into the street! Compared to the Strip, which often has the bougie, uppity ambience, Fremont Street is more of the laid back version! Dive joints, awesome restaurants, street performers and casinos that stay open all night is some of what you will find here! For some reason, whenever I gamble on the slot machines here, I always end up with beverages from the cocktail waitresses more often than I would if I did so on the Strip. Yes, it can get quite crowded. Not as crowded as the Strip, but still with a more laid back ambience. Loaded with restaurants and outdoor bars and kiosks that sell various items, this is one place you must not sleep on if you are in Vegas. The Deuce double decker bus runs through Las Vegas Blvd right by Fremont St that can take you all the way to the Strip if you choose to venture that way. Known for the historical hotels that line Fremont Street such as Four Queens, The Golden Nugget, El Cortez, Main Street Station, The Plaza and such, this place has a nostalgic feel and one that you will learn to appreciate one you experience it yourself. As much as I love exploring the Strip, there is no other feeling like exploring and experiencing what the Original Las Vegas has to offer.
