No it is NOT okay.
My friend and I called ahead for 2 gel manicures and were told to come right in, so we did. I was directed to the man in the back while my friend would be sitting with the woman in front of the door. When my friend asked if we could possibly sit near each other, that's when things went south. The woman wrapped her old gels with foil to let them melt down, and moved my friend next to me. Then a walk-in appeared - she took the walk-in and told me that she wouldn't be able to do my friend because on the phone I had only asked for one gel manicure. She said she would have to wait until the man was done with mine, then he could do hers.
After about 15 minutes, I asked the woman near the door how long the foil could stay on my friend's nails. Clearly, if they stayed on there 45-60mins, her nails would be damaged. She huffed and said 'fine I take it off'. She grabbed a metal scraping tool and quickly and hastily scraped the gel from the nails, leaving 50% of it behind.
My friend sat there and waited until mine were done. I was cut twice at the cuticle and have ragged edges which are unpolished and snagging - otherwise they look good.
While paying, the woman by the door tried to sign me up for their points program like I would be returning. "But you'll get 15% off on your birthday!" Ridiculous. My friend was told she could come back another time for 15% off of her services, like she would ever step foot in there.
Nope. We will never be back.
