I've seen Xavier perform individual pieces in the past, but I was skeptical about how he would put it together for a full length headlining stage show. The narrative couldn't be a better fit to create a sense of continuity between acts. Down to the last detail you're being entertained, from how he introduces the props, characters, and scenes to the incredible range of real skill he has as a performer. This isn't just a magical show, it's also a show of Xavier's range of other entertaining skills: from music to juggling and dancing, along with the magic the show never misses a beat.
It's a show in its beginning and the theater isn't the best fit, but I can't help but feel that this show deserves a much larger space and audience in the near future. There are small kinks that may need some work so I feel like this theater space is appropriate until the show has been perfected. There are lines and props that come across a bit cheesy, but the overwhelming charm and culmination of skills in play make any criticisms feel like reaching, maybe nitpicking.
Ultimately, you will leave the theater entertained and with a sense of wonder.
