  • 2006 Honda Odyssey with 178K (!) lost all power Monday night and dumped transmission fluid en route to Charlotte. Based on yelp reviews I had it towed to TransArt. I Facebook messaged owner (Arthur) at 10pm and he immediately replied with call/texts. Next morning Arthur diagnosed van with burnt up torque converter, quoted me $2800 (very reasonable) to rebuild and make it 'bulletproof,' with an trans cooler. Since trade-in was only $2700, I decided to buy a new van, but would now need a few days of vehicle storage. I offered to pay, he refused. He securely stored until Wednesday afternoon, when I sold the vehicle for $800. I even tried giving his co-workers money and they all refused. Arthur is a European immigrant, and is a great American! Thank you Arthur and thank you TransArt!
